At SB Diesel, we do more than turn wrenches—we keep America’s hardest-working trucks on the road. Founded by Tad Dove, better known around here as “Tadpole,” our shop is built on passion, grit, and a no-nonsense approach to diesel repair.

Tad grew up taking apart RC cars just to figure out how they worked. That childhood curiosity turned into a career in auto and diesel mechanics, where he built a reputation for quality workmanship and old-school honesty. In 2021, after surviving a serious accident, Tad knew it was time to chase his dream. That dream became SB Diesel—an operation rooted in doing things the right way, with zero upsells and full transparency.

We started as a mobile-only outfit, bringing on-site repairs straight to truckers and fleets in need. Today, we’ve grown into a one-bay shop in Shreveport, LA, while still offering full 24/7 mobile diesel services throughout the area. Whether it’s a midnight roadside call or a fleet PM service, we show up with the tools, the know-how, and the integrity to get the job done right.

Our team is small but solid—just how we like it. Tad leads the way with hydraulic certifications and deep Caterpillar knowledge. Jade, our certified welder and fabricator, brings the precision needed for custom and heavy-duty repairs. Together, we take on everything from engine rebuilds and electrical diagnostics to welding, fabrication, and DOT inspections.
